These Terms & Conditions govern your use of this website and the readings offered by Spiritual Readings by Sonia ("we", "us", "Sonia"). Sonia is a sole practitioner based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, and all readings are delivered online. By ordering a reading you agree to these terms.

Nature of services

Readings are offered for entertainment purposes only. People come to a reading for personal insight, reflection and a different perspective, and that is what Sonia offers in good faith — but nothing in a reading is presented as fact, as professional advice, or as something you should act on without your own judgement. Both of those things are true at once, and the rest of this document should be read that way: a reading is something to think with, not something to rely on.

Readings are received at your own discretion. Sonia reads without tools — no date of birth, no cards, no pendulums or crystals. She gets an energy connection from the photograph you supply, which is why a clear photograph of your face is required with every order.

What you are agreeing to when you buy a reading

Psychic readings are subject to interpretation and should not be taken as absolute. A reading is never 100% accurate. All readings given by me are for entertainment purposes only, and no guarantee can be given as to the accuracy of a reading.

Readings do not replace professional medical, legal or business opinion and advice. A reading will not force you to follow a particular course of action, or attempt to exert any form of control over your free will and common sense. The contents of a reading are not legally binding. Any decisions made, or actions taken by you as a result of your reading are your sole responsibility and have not been forced upon you.

My readings assume no legal liability for any damages, losses, or other consequences of any client decisions, subsequent to, or based on a reading provided.

Nothing in the acknowledgement above takes away the consumer guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded — see Cancellations, rescheduling and refunds below.

Readings are not a substitute for professional advice of any kind. They do not constitute medical, legal, financial, psychological or mental health advice, no particular outcome is promised or guaranteed, and nothing in a reading should be relied on as a diagnosis, prognosis or treatment plan. For matters in those areas please consult an appropriately qualified professional. You remain fully responsible for your own decisions and actions.

This applies especially to the Medical Reading: it explores a health concern from a spiritual and energetic perspective and is not a medical assessment. Please continue to see a qualified medical practitioner about any health concern, and never delay or stop medical treatment because of a reading.

Age requirement

Readings are available only to people aged 18 and over. You will be asked to confirm this when you order.

Photographs you upload

Every order requires a clear photograph of the face of the person the reading is for. Pet readings additionally require a photograph of the pet.

By uploading a photograph you confirm that you either are the person shown, or have that person's permission to provide their photograph for this purpose. Please do not upload a photograph of anyone who has not agreed to it, and please do not upload a photograph of a child.

How photographs are stored, used and deleted is set out in our Privacy Policy. In short: they are used only for your reading, they are never published or shared, and they are deleted automatically 30 days after your reading is delivered.

Prices and payment

• Prices are shown in Australian dollars (AUD). We are not registered for GST, so no GST is charged.
• Payment is taken in full through Stripe's secure checkout at the time of ordering. There is no deposit or partial-payment option.
• The price shown on a reading's page is the price you pay. Prices may change from time to time, but a change never affects an order already placed.
• Card details are handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store them.

Delivery

Written readings. Sonia will send your reading to the email address on your order within 7 days of your payment being confirmed — that is the commitment. Most arrive well within it, usually inside 48 hours. If it hasn't reached you within 7 days, please check your spam folder and then get in touch.

Live online chat readings. Once your payment is confirmed you can choose an available time. You'll receive a calendar invitation containing the link to your chat page, and Sonia will meet you there at your scheduled time. Available times reflect Sonia's working hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 6pm Melbourne time.

Cancellations, rescheduling and refunds

Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. You are always entitled to a remedy where a service isn't supplied with due care and skill, or doesn't match its description. These terms sit alongside those rights, not instead of them.

Within 24 hours of ordering a written reading — you may cancel for any reason and receive a full refund, provided your reading has not already been sent to you. Just email us. Sonia does not begin writing a reading in the first 24 hours after it is ordered, so this window always gives you time to change your mind. For a live reading, the equivalent cut-off is at least 24 hours before your scheduled time.

After that window — Sonia may already have begun reading for you, so a refund can no longer be guaranteed. Please ask anyway: if she has not started, she will refund you in full.

Once a written reading has been delivered — because it is prepared personally for you and cannot be returned or resold, a delivered reading is not refundable. If something has gone wrong with your reading, please tell us — we would much rather put it right.

If a reading is late — if a written reading hasn't reached you within 7 days of payment, you may choose to wait or to take a full refund.

Rescheduling a live reading — give us at least 24 hours' notice and we'll find you another time at no extra cost. With less than 24 hours' notice, or if you don't attend, we may not be able to offer a refund or a new time, as the slot was held for you.

If Sonia needs to reschedule or cancel — you'll always be offered another time or a full refund, whichever you prefer.

Refunds are returned to your original payment method through Stripe, usually within 5 to 10 business days.

Confidentiality

Whatever you share is treated as strictly confidential and is never published, except where disclosure is required by law. The reviews shown on this website were left publicly by clients on Etsy; nothing you send Sonia directly is ever published.

Acceptable use

Please don't use this website or a reading to harass, threaten or gather information about another person without their consent, and please don't attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the site.

Website content

Content on this website is provided for general information and may change without notice. All content, including the reading Sonia writes for you, remains her intellectual property; your reading is for your own personal use and may not be republished or resold.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, and without limiting your Australian Consumer Law rights, our total liability arising from a reading is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
