What actually happens when I book a reading?
It depends which kind you choose. Nine of the twelve readings are written: you order, write your question or concern on the form, upload a photo, pay, and Sonia emails your reading to you — usually within 48 hours, always within 7 days. There's no appointment and nothing to attend. The three online chat readings — 10, 20 or 30 minutes — are the live options: there you pick a time after paying and meet Sonia in a private online chat at that time. Either way it's unhurried and there are no theatrics.
Do I need to prepare anything?
Only two things: a clear photo of your face, and — for the question readings — the question itself. Everything else is optional. You don't need to explain your background, tidy up how you phrase things, or know what you want in advance. For readings like the Guardian Angel Message or Chakra Reading you don't need a question at all. If you're booking the live chat reading, a quiet few minutes beforehand helps you settle, but it isn't required.
How is my reading delivered, and how long does it take?
Written readings usually arrive by email within 48 hours of your payment, and always within 7 days — they're written for you personally, not generated, which is why they aren't instant. The online chat readings happen live at a time you choose, in a private chat in your browser: nothing to install, no video and no phone call. Sonia is based in Melbourne and reads for people anywhere in the world; written readings have no timezone to worry about at all.
Why do you need a photo of my face?
Because Sonia reads without tools. No date of birth, no cards, no pendulums or crystals — she gets an energy connection from the photo you supply, and that's how she reads for you. It's the one thing she genuinely can't read without. Your photo is used only for your reading, is never published or shared with anyone, and is deleted 30 days afterwards. A plain, recent photo is ideal: no sunglasses, no hat, and just you in frame.
Is everything I share confidential?
Completely. Whatever you share stays between you and Sonia, and your details are never sold or passed on. Your photo is used only for your reading and is deleted 30 days afterwards. The reviews shown on this site were left publicly by clients on Etsy — nothing you send Sonia directly is ever published.
Will a reading predict my future?
Sonia can gain clarity on your past, present and future, so yes — a reading may well touch on what's ahead. What it won't give you is a fixed outcome. Nothing seen in a reading is set in stone, because your own free will always has an impact: the choices you make from here can change the picture. Take what's useful, keep your own judgement alongside it, and remember your path stays your own.
Can a reading replace professional advice?
No, never. Readings are offered for entertainment purposes only — something to reflect on, not something to rely on. They are not a substitute for medical, legal, financial or mental health advice, no outcome is guaranteed, and nothing in a reading is a diagnosis. For anything in those areas please consult a qualified professional; Sonia will always encourage you to seek the right support, and will tell you plainly when something is not hers to answer.
How do I book, and how does payment work?
Choose a reading on the services page, then fill in the short form: your details, your question if the reading needs one, and a clear photo of your face. Payment is taken by Stripe on their own secure checkout page — Sonia never sees your card details. For a written reading, that's it: your reading comes by email — usually within 48 hours, always within 7 days. For the live chat reading you'll choose a time immediately after paying. Prices are in Australian dollars, and there's no GST. If you'd rather talk it through first, use the contact form.
What is your refund and cancellation policy?
For a written reading you have a full 24 hours from ordering to change your mind — email us within that window, before your reading has been sent, and you'll get a full refund, no questions asked. Sonia doesn't begin writing in the first 24 hours, so nothing is lost. After that she may already have started, so a refund can't be guaranteed — but do ask, because if she hasn't begun she'll refund you in full. Once a written reading has been sent it can't be refunded, since it was written personally for you. If a written reading hasn't reached you within 7 days you can choose to wait or take a full refund. For a live reading, cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your time and you'll get a full refund or another slot at no cost.
